Patricia Witmer Johnson

With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the Johnson family announces the passing of our kind, brave, caring and unimaginably generous wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Patricia Witmer Johnson, 80, of Chesterfield, on April 3, 2023. Patricia spent her final days in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her adoring family.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Morris Bair Witmer, her mother, Velma Witmer Talley and her nephew, Travis C. Witmer. She is survived by her loving husband, of 62 years, Charles H. Johnson and their four sons, Christopher E. Johnson, Todd A. Johnson (Loren), Thad E. Johnson (Lindsay) and Stephen C. Johnson (Carrie), and her three sisters, Linda Witmer, Sandra Witmer, and Scheryl Layne (Dale). She also leaves behind her bonus daughter, Amanda Johnson, as well as eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, all of whom affectionately regarded her as Mimi.

Patricia had many attributes to include event planning, catering, and volunteering in various capacities such as raising money for the drama club at Gill School, the Stonehenge Garden club, and the Meals on Wheels program.

Patricia had a deep passion for cooking. She often spent time crafting delicious meals for her husband and family. She shared this passion with her children, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, teaching them to enjoy the spice of life.

Patricia shared her love by making special memories, traveling, shopping and socializing. Her compassion and unfailing love left lasting impressions on all that were lucky enough to know her. Even though we know you are made new in Jesus and until we see you again, you are dearly and deeply missed Mimi.

The family will host visitation to all whom wish to pay their respects on Monday, April 10th, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel.
