SWENSON, Karin Louise, 28, of Midlothian, died February 20, 2011. She was born in San Angelo, Texas, and has been healed in Heaven after 11 years of a painful illness which only strengthened her faith in the Lord. She graduated as Salutatorian, James River High School, Class of 2000, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, University of Richmond as a Latin and Greek major in 2004. She worked at Shoosmith Bros., Inc. from 2003 to 2008.
Survivors include her parents, Paul and Lorna Swenson; her brother, Jim Swenson and his wife, Kathleen; grandmother, Berdine Swenson; niece and nephew, Annabelle and Caleb Swenson; and devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and church family. Karin taught Sunday School at Emmaus Christian Church in Powhatan.
Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday.
