first born child of Donald Everett and Dorthy Mansell Rosin; born at Ardmore Air Force Base in Ardmore,
Oklahoma. She was raised by her loving parents, in Fairfax, Virginia. She graduated with honors from
W.T. Woodson High School and went on to graduate with Honors from the School of Commerce at the
University of Virginia. Karen quickly proceeded to earn the distinction as a Certified Public Accountant.
She fulfilled a 20 year career as a CPA primarily at Whitehall Robbins as the Vice President of
Accounting. At the age of 43, Karen chose to retire so she could devote her love and life to her husband
and their two children, Katherine Anne and' Patrick Keen. Karen's greatest love and joy in her life was
being with and raising her children. In addition to her immediate family, Karen fulfilled her life through
her love of spending time with extended family and friends. Karen was an avid gardener, she was a
member of the Salisbury Garden Club where she served as treasurer for many years. She enjoyed
playing tennis, volunteering and spending time with many dear friends. Karen's devotion to optimism
brought joy and inspiration to everyone she met. Karen was predeceased by her parents Dot and Don
Rosin and her brother Jim Rosin. She is survived by her adoring husband of 30 years, Verlin Keen; loving
children, Katherine Keen and Patrick Keen; her mother in-law, Sue (Nana) Keen; her sister, Corinne Pavuk
of Ellicott City Maryland; her brother, Bill Rosin of Franklin Tennessee; her Aunt, Pat of Petersburg
Virginia, many loving cousins, brother and sister in-laws, nephews and nieces. Karen's spirit will continue to
live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, march 19, 2013 at Salisbury Presbyterian Church, 13621 W. Salisbury Rd., Midlothian, Va. 23113. You may send flowers to Salisbury Presbyterian Church.
