James A. Aardweg

AARDWEG, James A., 85, of Midlothian, formerly of the Mississippi Delta, died of lung cancer on January 7, 2013. Survivors include his wife, Jean Burney Aardweg; three children, Rick Aardweg and his wife Becky, Steve Aardweg and his mate Leslie, and Jan Aardweg; one brother, Joe Aardweg of Alabama; two grandchildren, Zachary and Athena Aardweg; and two sisters-in-law, Anne Elliston, of Richmond and Thelma Aardweg, of Arizona. Mr. Aardweg was a special agent for the F.B.I. for 31 years and was an investigator for the Virginia State Police for 8 years. He was a member of Holly Grove Hunt Club for 25 years and was an avid gardener and outdoorsman. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road.
