Evelyn Wells Hill

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garnett and Eva Wells and her brother, Curtis Wells. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Glenn Hill; her children, Michael Hill (Pamela) and Mark Hill (Cindy); her grandchildren, Shannon McDorman (Greg), Brandon Hill (Aly) and Erika Himmelman (Paul); her great grandson, Henry Hill and her nieces, Kristin Wells Saady and Kerry Wells Colgate.

Evelyn was born at home in Baskerville, Virginia. She went to Boydton High School and moved to Richmond where she lived at Baptist Hall. She married her husband Glenn Hill in 1954. Evelyn loved flowers, gardening and birds and was an avid reader. Most of all, she loved her husband Glenn and her family.

The family will receive friends from 9 am to 10 am on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Lyndale Baptist Church, 8320 Hull Street Rd N, Richmond, VA 23235 where a funeral service will be held at 10 am. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park at 12pm. A reception will follow at Lyndale Baptist Church.
