IN THE CARE OF
Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel
Dolores L. Hawkins passed into Glory on November 6, 2024, surrounded by family and the love of God.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, William T. Hawkins, her eldest son, William T. Hawkins, II, her younger brothers Alden and Wayne Long, her younger sister Linda Long Zekta and parents, Velma Ashby Long and Howard Alden Long.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Michael Hawkins, daughter Renee Hawkins, daughter Kimberly H. Benton, daughter-in-law, Wenjun G. Hawkins, grandchildren Jeremiah Hawkins, Angela Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins, Ruthanne Hawkins Aguirre, Sarah Benton, James Hawkins, great granddaughter, Anneila Aguirre, as well as nieces and nephews.
She loved gardening, decorating, sewing, baking Christmas cookies and taking care of her family. A woman of God, who spent many hours praying for family, others and nations. She was caring, generous, elegant, beautiful, creative, strong, determined and brave. And she was able to live out her life here on earth fully. She is not in our past, she is in our future!
The family would like to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His grace, mercy, peace and unending strength. We would also like to thank her caregivers and all of the staff from James River Hospice.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday November 22nd at 12:00 pm at Woody’s Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia 23113. Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) at cbn.org.
