Brian Allen Williams passed away peacefully July 8, 2024. He was 76 years old.
He was preceded in death by father, Floyd Gordon Williams; his mother, Violet Butler Willams; and sister, Jean Ann Carro.
He was survived by his brother, Jerry Williams (Gloria Williams); sister, Bonnie King; and several nieces and nephews.
Brian grew up in the Richmond, Virginia area. He attended George Wythe high school where he was a cadet and played trombone in the marching band. He also attended John Tyler Community College where he received an associate degree in horticulture. He spent a large portion of his life sharpening his skills in the horticulture field at Chesterfield County Building and Grounds facility.
Brian was an avid gun enthusiast and spent countless hours studying firearms and their history. He also enjoyed Bluegrass music and would travel to different venues to listen to his favorite artist perform.
Brian was proud of his military service in the US Navy. He served proudly aboard the USS Springfield CLG7.
The family would like to thank Ginter HaII South for caring for him during his declining months and to At Home Care for their daily care and attention. Although only for a short time, thanks goes to Suncrest Hospice for their help in his last moments. Brian also received excellent care from Chippenham and Johnson Willis hospital during his many recent trips there.
There will be a private service for family and close friends.
