Audrey Wooldridge Whitlow, 92, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2024.
Mrs. Whitlow was the daughter of the Late Edward G. Wooldridge, Sr. and Ruby Bibb Wooldridge of Chesterfield. Born in Richmond, she grew up in Fulton Hill. In 1970 the family moved to Chesterfield County, and she resided in Midlothian at the time of her death.
She was a devoted wife and mother, working for many years as a bookkeeper. Being “Mimi” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren was undoubtedly her greatest joy. She was a Charter Member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Montrose Chapter 176 and a member of Huguenot Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62+ years, John Henry Whitlow.
She is survived by one brother, Edward G. Wooldridge, Jr. (Karen); two sons, Bernie Whitlow of Richmond and Kenny Whitlow (Patsy) of Mechanicsville; two daughters, Judy W. Garrett (Jay) and Susan W. Brannan (Paul), both of Midlothian; a loving and devoted niece, Joanne W. Kefauver (Haden) of Mechanicsville; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Tyson, Travis Whitlow (Kristin), Jay Whitlow (Traci), Garrett Whitlow (Kaci), Cole Whitlow (Lauren), Danielle Garrett (Mari), Lindsay Browning (Adam), and Taylor Brannan; four step-grandchildren, Corey Wathall (Marcia) and Kristen Wathall (Jeremiah), Angela Ashberry (John), and Christopher Brannan (Stephanie); eight great grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter and one step great great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 26 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday. June 27 at Huguenot Road Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
