MANCINI, Anita Louise, 76, of Richmond, passed away on May 13, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in Malden, Massachusetts on July 12, 1937, the daughter of Harold and Kathleen Ruelle. She graduated from Malden High School, where as cheerleading captain she met her sweetheart, football captain George Mancini, whom she married on June 14, 1958, and with whom she had five children. In 1970, the family settled in Richmond, where Anita first worked at Overnight Transportation company before segueing to a 25-year career as a medical records analyst at St. Mary's, where she treasured the friendships of her colleagues. She is survived by children Michelle, Denise, Don, Jinx, and Kristin, and grandchildren Christopher and Sonny Tripp, Izzy and Tilly List, and Hayden Wyatt. Anita cherished spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed playing bingo and watching horse racing, and loved old movies. During her final hours, her favorite station, Turner Classic Movies, was playing softly in the background; when she passed, the title of the film playing, appropriately enough for this endearing woman, was "Easy to Love." A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anita's name to the American Cancer Society.
