IN THE CARE OF
Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel
Alice Lipscomb Beasley died peacefully June 4, 2018, shortly after celebrating her 95th birthday. She lived at home, cared for by her loving husband, Raymond Beasley, and caretaker, Jocelyn Booker. Ray and Alice were married for 77 years, and they shared the greatest love for each other. Ray worked for the C and P telephone company, while Alice worked to take care of him and the children. She was a fabulous housekeeper and a wonderful cook. There wasn’t a morning her family didn’t have a fully cooked meal, which Alice served with a smile. Alice spent her entire life caring for others. She was the sweetest, kindest, and most loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and great-grandmother. There are no words to express how much she will be missed by so many people. Alice is predeceased by her parents, William and Oma Lipscomb; her sister, Doris Foos; her brother, Billy Lipscomb; and her son, Douglas Beasley. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Beasley; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and John Ellerson; granddaughters, Tracey Ellerson of Atlanta, Georgia, Amy (Ray) Martinez of St. Petersburg, FL, and Leslie Doyle (Billy Granger) of Norfolk, VA; and five great-grandchildren. Service will be held Saturday, June 9 at 11 AM at Bon Air Christian Church, 2071 Buford Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bon Air Christian Church. Alice, wife, mother, grandmother, we are filled with grief, but we know with certainty, you will always live in our hearts. Peace be with you.
