Tommy Wayne Reed

Tommy was born February 5th, 1945 to Floyd and Margaret Reed in the hill country town of Dublin, Texas.

Tommy was a larger-than-life man. With his larger size he could be intimidating but in reality, he was just a big teddy bear. He loved to give advice to everyone he ever met. He loved his wife Deanna, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dogs more than anything.

He started his career with Texas electric company right out of high school as a meter reader. He retired with Oncor after 48 years of service. He was an active member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and won several awards while with them. After caring for a family member, he moved to midland to be closer to his children and their families. He spent a lot of time on the phone talking to all his beloved friends. He would always answer and be there for you whatever the reason. He was a jokester and would always remind you that he had “Great Hair and mustache”.

Tommy leaves behind his children Kimberly Pyle and Husband Tim, Melissa Johnson and Husband Scott, Michael Reed, and Leslie Parish and Husband Jeff. His grandsons Robert Burton,Matthew Reed, Justin King, Brandon Pyle and Gage Parish. His granddaughters Amanda McCarty, Tiffany Burton, Ashley Pyle and Madison Parish. He also leaves behind 17 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by Wife Deanna Williams Reed, Son James Mitchell Ratliff and Great Grandson Landon Michael Shipley

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for Tommy will be held Saturday November 5th at 11:00 AM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park 4616 N Big Spring Midland TX, 79705
