Priscilla was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, on June 30, 1952 to Buster Reed and Bernell Henry. While being raised in Ft. Worth, Priscilla received her early childhood education from Como Elementary, Como Junior High, and secondary education from Como High School in 1970.
Priscilla accepted Christ at an early age as a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church and as a young adult Priscilla joined Crouch Memorial Church of God and Christ. Priscilla was blessed upon graduation from high school to be employed by Wyatt’s Cafeteria and as a Braniff Airlines Security guard at DFW Airport until moving to Midland in the 70’s. After moving to Midland, Priscilla met and married Mr. Charles Woodson. After their union, the two welcomed two beautiful girls, Taquilla and Deanna Woodson.
Priscilla was an outgoing person and always had a smile on her face, even in her sickness. She enjoyed dancing and helping other people as much as she could. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Disciples Church and truly loved the Lord. Before her illness, she worked for Culver Youth Home and MHMR for 17 years and was an amazing mentor to the kids there. She will never be forgotten for the things she has done. Another angel accepted into heaven.
She is preceded in death by her mother Bernell Henry, her father Buster Reed, and her step father Edward Ringer.
Priscilla is survived by her brother E.M. Morgan and his wife Thelma of Ft. Worth, sister Durina Ringer of Ft. Worth, and daughters Taquilla Woodson and Deanna Woodson, both of Midland. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Denaysia Woodson, Jaeshay Edwads, and Somaje Brooks, and a host of other relatives.
The family would like to give a special thanks Sheka Milligan and St. Joseph’s for 17 years of Healthcare service and the Midland dialysis center staff and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 11:00 am at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Hodges officiating.
