Nancy Burleson Rapp, 65, of Midland passed away Friday, June 23, 2023. Nancy was born June 16, 1958 in Ft. Worth, Texas to parents Lewis Brown Burleson and Kathryn Kay Kendrick. Nancy attended Angelo State University where she received a degree in English and became a teacher. Nancy had a passion for theatre, especially the melodrama, Summer Mummers, where she performed for several years. She enjoyed bowling and throwing darts, where she made many friends and memories traveling to tournaments with her weekly leagues. Nancy treasured her cruises, so much so, that she once embarked on a 62-day cruise. She also enjoyed sharing her love of cruising with family and friends. Nancy cherished the memories made at her family ranch in Christoval where she loved to watch the hummingbirds and wildlife. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy is survived by her husband Darin Rapp of Midland; her son Ryan and wife Tiffany Hayes, grandson Brooks of San Angelo; son Zach and wife Leann Hayes, granddaughters Addison and Rhyder of San Angelo; and son Lance and wife Tavia Hayes, grandsons Kai and River of Midland; stepdaughter Alexis Rapp, grandsons Keilan and Cobain, granddaughters Krymson and Lovelea of Midland; and stepson Eric Rapp of Ft. Worth. Her brother Steven and wife Elizabeth Burleson of Midland.
A special thank you from the family to Mike Shannon and his wife Jennifer. He has been an irreplaceable person in Nancy’s life, and we forever thank him for it.
The family is honoring Nancy with a memorial service Wednesday, July 12 at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home at 10 am. A graveside service will follow.
