Michael Eugene Gasser, 58, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Michael was born on March 30, 1953 in Riverton, Wyoming to Eugene and Mary (Cram) Gasser. He was a caring man with a very large and very warm heart. He loved to play golf and spend time with his family. Michael graduated from Midwest High School in 1971 and from Central Wyoming College in 1973. Mike worked for the FBI in Annapolis, Maryland, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol after college. He held various jobs in the oil field throughout his lifetime, most recently at West Texas Plastics as an equipment operator.
Michael is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene Gasser Sr. and Clara Gasser; and his maternal grandparents, John and Frances Cram; and brother, Timothy John.
Survivors include: his parents, Eugene and Mary (Cram) Gasser; his brothers, Gary and wife, Tina, of Casper, Wyoming; Danny and wife, Lacy of Midland, Texas; Ron and wife, Christe, of Greenwood, Texas; Rick and wife, Kim of Midland, Texas; and sisters, Jeannie and husband, Tim Kohn of Midland, Texas and Penney and husband, Dave Parker of Midland, Texas. Also left to cherish his memory are many nieces and nephews.
The rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church at 10:00am on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 1:00pm local time at the Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton, WY.
