Kim G. Yee

Kim Gee Yee, age 92, of Midland, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 13, 2016. Kim was born on January 11, 1924 in China to parents Lim Guey Yuen and Lee Chun Wui. Kim was married to Lem Gong Yee on October 1957. They were happily married for 52 years until his death in 2009.

Kim and Lem were owners of the restaurant “The Location” (also known as “The Eggroll Shop”) located on the corner of Andrews Hwy and Ohio Ave. She worked for 14 years until they retired in 1996.

Kim is preceded in death by her husband Lem Gong Yee and her parents Lim Guey Yuen and Lee Chun Wui, brothers Lim Man Ki and Lim Man Ping and sister Lim Kam Seoi .

Kim is survived by sister, Kam Yue Ho and children Lonnie Chinn Yee of Midland, Rita Dee Yee of Midland, Dr. Bing Get Yee and wife Janet Yee of Round Rock, and three grandchildren Jonathan Yee, Joshua Yee, and Christina Yee.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 between the hours of 6pm to 8pm at Ellis Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will be held in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2pm with the Rev. Robert Barndt officiating.
