She was born on April 1, 1934 in Memphis, Texas to A.J. and Tarlie Gossett. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is preceded in death by her husband Doug Tankersley; Daughter Dana Reynolds; granddaughter Misty McLain; siblings Ollie Easley, Mavis Smith, Jason Gossett, Calvin Gossett, Helen Cox and Easter Brogden and beloved pet Maggie.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Vallas McLain (CJ) of Wichita Falls, Texas and Dale McLain of Dallas; daughter Vickie Olgin (Frank) of Midland; grandchildren Bobby Olgin, Jeff Olgin, Trevor Reynolds, Choice McLain and Precious McLain and sisters Delores Townsend and Lillie Burrness.
There will be a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11 am.
