Cynthia Ann Wimberley

Ann was born September 30, 1946, in Tyler, Texas, to Harold "Jack" & Lucille Wynne. She moved to Snyder at 6 years old, then to Midland at age 7, where she lived the remainder of her life. Ann met Loyd Virgil Wimberley at Midland High School, and they married October 3, 1964. In 1967 they moved to the Wimberley family farm, where Loyd grew up. Having been raised "in town," this was quite an adventure for Ann. As time passed she learned to love their life there, but there was no love lost on the hogs & cows!

Ann and Loyd raised two children, Gaylon and Sarina, who blessed them with 5 grandchildren to spoil. Ann loved taking care of her family. She was a fantastic cook and baker, especially her chocolate chip cookies. Ann also enjoyed painting flowers and humming birds.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years, step-father Buddy Smith and best friend Betty Sue Rose.

She is survived by her son Gaylon and wife Lacey; daughter Sarina Israel and husband Willie; grandchildren, Baylie Wimberley, Brody Wimberley, Audree McKenzie, Allie Israel and Levi Israel; nieces and nephews Bill Wimberley, Steve Wimberley, Shelia Pahl, Vivian Coon, Diane Coon, CeCe Coon Wilmes, Mel Coon; other family Kendra Pruett, Alisha Peters, Ron Peters, Carmen Crawford, Danny Jackson, Gary Jackson, Charlotte Jackson; and many other family and friends.

A graveside service for Ann will be held at 9:00am, Saturday September 17, 2022, at Ellis Resthaven Memorial Park, 4616 N. Big Spring Street, Midland, TX 79705
