Carolyn M. Edmiston

Carolyn Maxine Montgomery Edmiston, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in Midland, Texas.

Carolyn was born December 31, 1929 to John Bailey Montgomery and Nancy Amelia Alexander Montgomery in Eldorado, Texas. She graduated from Eldorado High School and married a fellow high school graduate, William Phillip Edmiston on July 30, 1948. Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother. She worked for the Midland, Texas Boy Scouts of America Office for over 20 years until retirement.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents and granddaughter Dawn Michelle Edmiston; her brother Jack Miles Montgomery; and her sister Mary Kathryn Montgomery Humphrey. She is survived by her brother Joe Bailey Montgomery; her sons and daughters-in law Michael and Sandra Edmiston, Charles and Joanne Edmiston; son Steve Edmiston; daughter Kay Edmiston Smith; grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan and Devin and his wife Shawna Edmiston, and a great grandson Dmitri Edmiston.

The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Thursday July 8, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 9, 2010 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will take place on Saturday July 10 at 11:00 A.M. at Eldorado Cemetery, Eldorado, Texas.
