Alice Marie Belew Blanco

Alice Belew Blanco was joyously welcomed by our Lord and Savior on April 26, 2023. Alice was the fifth child (of ten children) born to Jackson Bernice Dorman and Olive Lee McNeal on January 23, 1932, in El Dorado, Arkansas. Alice was a young child when the family moved to Midland, Texas. She attended the Midland school system and graduated from Midland High School with a National Honor Society accreditation.

Alice was an extremely hard-working, independent woman, and a wonderful loving mother to one daughter and three sons. Alice was also a loving wife to William R. Blanco; along with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Alice was the business owner of Belew Real Estate in Odessa, Texas for over 55 years, and a resolute member and volunteer for the Republican National Party. She loved going to Republican Conventions and being a part of the legislative and voting system. Alice always had a positive, sunny disposition and never met a stranger. She also had a deep faith and attended Sherwood Church of Christ in Odessa, Texas for many years. Alice will be deeply missed by all who know her.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, and her youngest son Barry Belew. She is survived by her husband William R. Blanco of San Angelo, Texas; her brother Richard Dorman and his wife Gloria of Kingwood, Texas; brother Bob Dorman and his wife Sandy of Calhan, Colorado; and sister Audrie Gue of Kingwood, Texas; daughter Cindy Belew Camp and husband Roger Camp of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; son David Belew and his wife Janie of Midland, Texas; son Mike Belew and his wife Patty of Lavon, Texas. Along with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

The memorial and celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park located at 4616 North Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas with Dr. Nathanial (Nate) Hearne of Arlington, Texas officiating. The burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park where Alice will lay to rest next to her son Barry Belew.
