Hello, I’m so sorry to hear this news. Bob was such a great guy and a great neighbor. The kids and I loved poking fun at him and the Buckeyes while we were out in the yard. Bob you will be missed Buddy.

I will never forget the day Uncle Bob and I went out for a round of golf. It may have been my second or third  time ever playing the game. The very first golf outing was with his father, my grandpa, Bud Berberich. I was a bit nervous that day. I was scared I wasn’t going to “keep pace”. 

From the moment we tee’d off, to the moment we finished, that feeling vanished. Uncle Bob had a unique way about making you feel comfortable. His care free attitude was one of my favorite things about him. That wasn’t all. He always found a way to make you laugh and have a good time. 

That day we made a $5 bet on the 18th green — “closest to the hole”. 

I’ll never know for sure if he let me win.. but on our way home, he reached in his pocket and tried to hand me that $5 bill. I refused to accept since he had already taken care of lunch and the round of golf that day. He insisted I take “my money” .. I refused again. 

Seconds later, as we’re zipping along on the Highway, he rolls down his window and heaves it out of the car like it was napkin from Arby’s. 

“You didn’t want it and it wasn’t mine, so it will go to someone else” 

My jaw was on the floor. I was shocked! $5 was a lot of money! I couldn’t believe my eyes.. but it wasn’t about that $5…what was more important was it made realize a lot about the type of person Uncle Bob was. He was kind, he was honest, he was prideful and he was man of his word. 

I will always try and manifest those characteristics Uncle Bob had and I will always carry a part of Uncle Bob with me forever. 

He was a fighter and I hope I can be half the fighter in life that he was. With us forever and always. 

To infinity and beyond!

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of the Berberich family. Bob was a devoted and loving family man. May he now Rest In Peace at the right hand of the father and watch over his beloved family 🙏.                           

My childhood wouldn’t have been near as much fun without Bob. I have such great memories of growing up on Wildwood Rd. One summer, we took swim lessons at Sunset. Bobby refused to get in the water because the mornings were so cold. Every day they had to turn the hose on him to get him in the water! There’s so much I’d like to say but words fail me. You were my “other brother” and thinking of you makes me smile. Rest In Peace. 

In the over 30 years I was blessed to know Bob, he always brought out the good in me.  Some of my biggest and best laughs were with Bob.  Attending NASCAR races, playing golf, playing cards and watching sports with him were gifts from God. Bob made his family and his friends a priority and we felt that.  
His fight with cancer demonstrated the man he was.  Dedicated, courageous, and with good humor in life.  
While I will certainly miss making more memories with Bob, I am thankful that our family will have another angel watching over us. 
Rest in Eternal Peace Uncle Bob.

Bob and Cindy were great neighbors of ours on Armco Drive.  Our girls walked to and from school together and have remained life-long friends. I send my deepest sympathies to Cindy, Matt, Amy, and the entire Berberich family.  Bob is at peace.
