Donald served in the U.S. Army. He worked 39 years for Aeronca, retiring in 2005. Donald loved golfing, bowling and Cleveland Browns football.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sheila Jo (Harrison) Manning; daughter, Tammy (Barry) Manning; sons, Don (wife, Lisa) Manning Jr., and Troy Manning; step daughter, Amber (husband, Mike) Leigh; step son, Justin (wife, Kassie) Haag; 8 grandchildren, Caitlin Fugett, Corey (wife, Sarah) Manning, Alexis Manning, Shelby Manning, Sean Vernon, Taylor (husband, Kyle) Williams, Kala (husband, Jordan) Miller and Samantha Manning; 6 great grandchildren, Elaina, Wesley, Garrett, Remington, Kayde and Jazzlyn; sisters, Brenda Hamilton and Lora (husband, Jim) Hackworth; a special aunt, Juanita Sebastian; and the mother of his children, Kay Zimmerman.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irma Horton; brother, Okey Manning; and granddaughter, Courtney Fugett.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Fussnecker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army.
