He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Adams Williams Yoos and Crawford Butler Williams II, formerly of Kansas City, MO and his brother, John Bradford Williams formerly of Tucson, AZ. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marion Claire Ridgway Williams of Brookfield, MO.
He cherished his family and is survived by:
Three children. Mary Ann Williams (Richard Torstrick) of Bloomington, IN; Crawford Craig Williams (Melinda Day) of Morrow, Ohio; Cynthia Miller (Donald) of Carlisle, OH.
Five grandchildren. Mollie Miller Sebastian (Scott) of Monroe, OH; Kelley Marion Williams McClain (Benjamin) of Greenwood, IN; Scott Williams of Boston, MA; Brian Miller (Kristen) of Westerville, OH; Colleen Williams Plamp (Jordan) of Kentwood, MI.
Five great grandchildren: Tristan and Liam McClain, Lainey and Owen Plamp, and Lucy Jean Miller.
Crawford served as a World War II Navy Seabee in the South Pacific at Guam. He graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia with a Major in Industrial Arts. He began his career as a High School Teacher in Flat River, MO, then became a Purchasing Agent for Armco Steel in Kansas City, MO and Middletown, OH where he worked until his retirement.
Crawford was a member, Ruling Elder, and Trustee of Middletown’s First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed family history and woodworking crafts. He held a strong value for education and enjoyed traveling in the US and Europe with Marion. They were long-time members of the Middletown Ramblers. Together, they practiced hospitality, entertaining many friends and family at their home in Middletown.
Final arrangements are being made by Breitenbach-Anderson Funeral Home | Funeral & Cremation (dignitymemorial.com). Due to considerations related to Covid-19, a private service for the family only will be held at Woodside Cemetery on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
