Charles D. Profitt

Charles D. Profitt, age 68 of Middletown, OH passed away on Friday, September 22nd, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was born on September 2, 1955 in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Charles Edward Profitt and Joyce Marie Sprecker.

Charles served in the United States Air Force from 1973-1977 then shortly after, went on to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office where he spent the next 25 years, retiring as Captain in 1999.

His hobbies included camping, bowling, coaching baseball, fishing, cooking and spending time with family.

Charles is preceded in death by his mother and father, Charles Edward Profitt and Joyce Marie Sprecker, brother, John William Profitt and sister, Linda Joy Profitt.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sherry Profitt; mother of his children, Emily Fawn Profitt; daughters, Jennifer Profitt, Kelly Profitt, Kayla (Cameron) Arnett and son, Kameron (Paige) Catron; grandchildren, Isabella Perry, Gracelyn Arnett and Weston Catron; sister, Susan Marie Miller (Profitt).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to thank the Hospice staff who made Charles’ transition a peaceful journey crossing into Heaven.

Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin St., Middletown, OH 45044. Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodside Cemetery, 1401 Woodside Blvd., Middletown, OH 45044.
