Bessie Lee Helton

Bessie Lee Wells, 58, of Middletown, OH passed away on December 25, 2022 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born January 11, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Nathaniel and Christine (Blakley) Bird.

Bessie held many titles in the manufacturing industry and impacted many lives with her personality and big heart. She was always quick to take on the role of mother or grandmother to as many as she could.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Christine Bird; father, Nathaniel Bird; sister, Ellie Mae Bird; brother, Joshua Bird (Randy) and aunts and uncles.

Bessie is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert Helton; children, Christina Morris, Jacqueline Fugate, Matthew Dotson (Penny Morningstar), Jessica Henderson (Jay Gentry), Eva Wells (Gene Dokas), and James Helton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; siblings, Rick Bird (Alice Bird), Nathaniel Bird Jr. (Melissa), Patricia White (Mike White), Cornelius Otis (Bo) Bird (Atheana Collins) and Lora Massie (Rob Massie).

Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on January 4, 2023 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 5 pm.
