“Gentle Ben” as he was known by many, was born in Middletown, Ohio to Reese Morrison and Carmon (Fletcher) Morrison. Ben attended Middletown High School before marrying Louise, his wife of 66 years and joining the Air Force. He later joined the Army with a tour in Vietnam and retired from the Army in 1975. While in the military, Ben did everything from fabricating fixed wing components to being an Army Recruiter in Oregon. After retiring, he went to work at General Electric as a quality control supervisor. Ben was an active member of the Home Avenue First Church of God in Trenton, OH.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents; son, Benjamin Stuart Morrison; and brothers, Kenny and Shannon.
Ben is survived by his wife, Louise and sons, Bobby, James and Kevin. He is also survived by his sisters, Skipper Weber, Ginger Deaton and Joyce Patrick and his brother Larry. Ben is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ben was bigger than life. He was an accomplished musician and had an angelic voice as well, singing at many family funerals and even singing and playing guitar on his Army Recruiting radio ads. Ben was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved working word puzzles with his wife and loved his family fiercely. He was the most naturally talented Man many of us knew.
Funeral Services will be conducted after cremation, at the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date to be determined when social distancing measures will be normalized.
