LaVerne F. Waters

Laverne F. Waters of Middleport, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 97. Laverne was born on July 18, 1920 in Medina, New York, the son of Frederick and Lena Waters. He graduated from Akron High School, where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America.

Laverne was a lifelong farmer. He married Florence Miller on February 5, 1949. He was a quiet man who enjoyed country living and working on his farm. He lived on the same road his entire life and never had a desire to travel or live anywhere else.

He was predeceased by his wife, Florence on August 13, 1990. He is survived by two sons; Brian (Cindy) and Paul (Iris) Waters; four grandchildren; Eric Waters, Jill Barnett, Korrie Beverley-Waters, and Richard Waters. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by his grandson, Bradley Waters.

Calling hours will be held at Bates, Wallace, and Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street Middleport on Monday from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm.
