He was born in Dunbar, PA, the son of the late Adam and Mary Snyder. Matthew was the beloved fiancé of Shirley Colbert.
At the age of 18 he joined the US Marine Corps, serving during the Korean Conflict. He moved to Cleveland following his honorable discharge from the service where he began his career with General Motors. He retired following over 30 years of employment.
His hobbies included ball room dancing at many locations in the area and playing the saxophone in a local Polka band for 10 years.
Visitation Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 2PM-6PM with US Marine Corps Military Honors at 5PM at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights 44130. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 9:30AM at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 14865 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Hts. Interment services will be private at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery, 125 St. Vincent de Paul Rd., Leisenring, PA.
