Sandra Marie Smith

Sandra Marie Smith (74), a native of Jacksonville, passed away on December 16, 2014 due to complications of Cancer. She was preceded in death by her Father Roy Garner and Brother Carl Garner . She is survived by her husband of 51 years Dean Smith, her daughter Yvette Ellerbe (Mark), her son Troy Smith (Valerie), her Mother Helen (93) and Sister Merlene Garner both of Ormand Beach, three grandchildren, Michael Ellerbe and Justin Ellerbe of Houston, Texas, and Taylor Smith of Orange Park; and one great granddaughter Harper Ellerbe , along with her niece Shawn Moore and nephews Daron Zapata and Chad Garner. Sandra graduated from Paxon High School in Jacksonville where she took College Prepatory classes leading to an accounting future. Sandra worked for the City of Jacksonville where she was a dedicated and committed worker in the accounting department for 27 years. Sandra loved cooking and putting a smile on peoples faces as they enjoyed her home cooked meals. Sandra lived for, and adored being in the company of her entire Family especially at Christmas time. In lieu of Flowers, please make donations to The Susan G Koman Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education in Sandra's honor. A Funeral Service will be held 12pm on Saturday December 20, 2014 at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior for family and friends.
