Michael S. Hancock, 74, died October 18, 2024, at home with his daughter, Amanda Cayton-Dailey and his beloved furry companion, Maggie. He was born March 18, 1950, the son of William F. and Barbara Ann (Snow) Hancock. Michael served and retired from the U.S. Navy. He went on to work and retire from the Florida Highway Patrol as a dispatcher. While serving in the U.S. Navy Mike meet the love of his life.
As he would describe it “It was love at first sight. When I saw her smile and beautiful red hair I
knew.”
Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved hiking in Wyoming with his best buddy, his Boxer, Maggie. That he swore was 6 years old but is actually 10 years old. He is predeceased by the love of his life & wife, Rebecca and his brother, William Hancock.
Surviving is his daughter, Amanda Cayton-Dailey and her husband, Jason Dailey; granddaughter, Talia Shay Cayton; Nephews, William R. Hancock and Joshua J. Hancock; Nieces, Tami R. Roe, Kristin A. Thompson and Mariah L. Hancock.
