Donald Cheney Bailey, Jr., 87, passed away on December 22, 2020. He was born in Rhinebeck, NY and was a member of the American Legion. Donald retired from the United States Navy and retired as the Finance Manager from the City of Palatka. Mr. Bailey is survived by his loving wife, Mary Diane Bailey; son, David E. Bailey; 3 daughters: Katherine L. Oliver, Cynthia E. Carper and Deborah A. Quade; 3 sisters: Antoinette Jackson, Barbara Bakalla and Patricia Lackey; 6 grandchildren: Brian Quade, Megan Bell, Amanda Davis, Kyle Carper, Chance Bailey and Madison Bailey; 4 great-grandchildren: Hunter Todd, Kaleb Quade, Christopher Junk Jr. and Emmalyn Davis; and a host of extended family and friends. Memorial Mass will be held 11 AM, Wednesday January 13, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fleming Island, FL. Burial will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Wednesday January 13, 2021 with military honors.
