Bobby C. Morrow, 86, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 in Clay Hill, Florida. He was born in Landrum, South Carolina on October 25, 1932. He grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and would later move to Jacksonville, Florida in his late 30’s. As a young man, his first real job was working on the family farm, and then went on to drive a semi-truck which allowed him to visit many towns and cities across the United States. This is where his love for traveling began, and he would jump at any chance to take cross country road trips with his family. Bobby also owned apartment rentals and worked as a landlord in Jacksonville, Florida, together with his wife, Annette. Bobby was the very definition of a hardworking man, and he instilled this work ethic in his children and grandchildren.
Together, Bobby and Annette built their own house on a plot of land that they would eventually turn into a working farm, with a garden for growing crops, as well as cows, chickens, and even pigs at one point. He loved to work in his garden and was very proud of his okra, watermelons and squash. If he wasn’t in his garden, then he would be outside tinkering with engine parts and electronics, riding his mower around the farm, or taking apart and putting back together clocks. He also enjoyed reading, in particular westerns, travel guides, and cook books, which he used daily to try out new recipes. When he wasn’t outside, you could find him in his big chair reading or watching westerns on TV. Bobby was also a very devoted man of God and was a faithful member of Highland First Baptist Church in Lawtey, Florida. Bobby is so very loved by his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Annette Morrow, his children, Phillip Morrow, Tena Biggerstaff (Bruce), Jeff Morrow (Barrie), and Debbie Shef (Stu), and his brothers and sisters, James Morrow (Martha), Loran Morrow (Clare), Sylvia Laws, Debbie Lowe (Robert), Sara Turner (John), and Nanci Stafford (Ronnie). Bobby is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two sons, Robert Morrow and Cary Martin.
