RISNER, Mary Elizabeth, age 94, resident of Miamisburg, returned to her heavenly home on January 18th 2018, after her work on earth had been completed. Mary was resting comfortably at Heartland of Miamisburg surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 14th, 1923 in Germantown to the late Leonard D. Blackburn and Helen M. Harrell. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roland L. Risner; brothers and sisters, Lorena Rose Curtner, Leonard Blackburn, Donald Blackburn, Arthur Blackburn, Beatrice Ellis, Inez Hale, Lester Blackburn, Gerald Blackburn, her children, Daniel L. Risner, James S. Risner and Karen S. Stansell. She is survived by her sister, Charmae Sheppard, and remaining children, Rosemary (Ray) Isaacs, David (Autumn) Risner Sr., Debra A. (Roy) Rose, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces; nephews and in-laws. Mary was a member of the First Church of God and attended Miamisburg schools until she was old enough to work. She spent most of her working years at the National Cash Register, Rikes and the majority of her working of them at the Carrollton Envelope until retirement. Later in life Mary was a caregiver for her ill husband. Mary found joy in taking care of others and being around family and friends. While her children were young she sewed all their clothes and spent her time raising and nurturing them. She enjoyed dancing and would frequently visit the Junior Hall to dance with friends. She also enjoyed traveling and visiting different states, but most of all her favorite pass-time was surrounding herself with those she loved. Family will receive friends at 12:00 pm Monday, January 22, 2018 with services beginning at 1:00 pm at Gephart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home in Miamisburg. Mary’s final resting place will be at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg with burial beginning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
