Lydia “Lil” Good, loving wife and mother, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. She is preceded in death by her siblings, her beloved husband Dean Good, her son-in-law Ronnie Francis and her grandson Luke Meadows. She is survived by her children Diane (Charles) Holdren, Beverly Francis, Linda Hice, Joann (Dennis) Wead, Barbara (Tom) Croskey and Dean (Bobbi) Good, her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lil was born on September 19, 1923 in Dayton, Ohio to Karl and Katarina Textor. She married Dean Good on June 25, 1949. They were married for 58 wonderful years.
Family was everything to Lil which included all of her brothers, sisters, in-laws, cousins and all their families. She and Dean raised their family on the farm and were always busy, but they made time for service to their community and church. Lil was active with the Miamisburg American Legion Post 165, including marching in parades and posting colors before the high school football games. She was also an active member of Trinity Church of Miamisburg. She taught Sunday school and worked with the Women’s Guild among other responsibilities.
Her varied hobbies included ceramics, music, square dancing, gardening and traveling.
Visitation for the family will be Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Trinity Church of Miamisburg, 203 E. Linden Avenue and Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Church of Miamisburg followed by internment at Hillgrove Cemetery in Miamisburg.
