COX, John Paul age 52 of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 11, 1965 in Oklahoma City, OK to David L. “Larry” and Mary (Hartman) Cox. John is preceded in death by his father and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother, Mary of Miamisburg; special daughter, Tasha (Michael) Townsend of Germantown; sister Laurie Cox of Miamisburg; uncle, Edmond (Rosemary) Hartman of North Carolina and best friend, Jay Elson as well as many other extended family members. John was a 1983 graduate of Miamisburg High School and attended art classes at Sinclair Community College. He had worked for many area restaurants including Bullwinkle’s and had also been employed by Freedom Foods, Kroger and a metal shop over the years. John was a dedicated NASCAR fan following Jeff Gordon throughout his career and was an avid reader collecting and enjoying many artist and genres during his life. John was intelligent and talented seeing things differently than most and allowing him to produce many forms of art during his life. He loved to cook and shop for others. Family will receive guests from 5:30 – 7:30 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Miamisburg. Procession and burial will follow at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Cemetery, Miamisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Right to Life – DAYTON at 425 N.
