Jim was born February 8, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Earl and Helen (Griffith) Witt. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Lou, and a brother David.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 24 years, Anita Witt; A brother, Bob Witt; Three sons, Brian (Kara) Witt, Aaron (Kelly) Witt, Kevin Witt, and two daughters, Kara (Danny) White, and Jamie Witt; along with 8 grandchildren.
Jim was a graduate of Wilbur Wright high school class of 1965. He also served in the National Guard and went on to be employed as a Dayton Firefighter, Company #10, until his retirement.
Those that knew Jim know he was an absolute lover of the game of golf. He enjoyed everything about the game including traveling every year to Myrtle Beach to play the game he loved.
Jim will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
