Age 71 of Dayton, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, November, 20, 2014 from his earthly residence. Jack was born July 3, 1943 in Dayton to the late, James Bradford and Mattie (Carter) Brown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hollis Brown and James “Foster” Brown. Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen (McGohan) Brown; his children, Doug Brown of Miamisburg, Dave Brown of Miamisburg and Angie Brown of Findlay; grandchildren, Jack, Madison, Carter, Molly, Ryan, Connor and Jacob; a great grandson, Elijah; sisters, Marie Williams and Irene King both of Florida; sisters-in-law, Darlene Brown and Nancy Brown; special friends, Lee and Sue Brittan of Miamisburg as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. Jack was a 1962 graduate of Miamisburg High School and soon after began his 30 year career with General Motors as a job setter. Jack enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He attended Miamisburg Assembly of God and had spent several years coaching and umpiring. Jack was heavily involved in the Miamisburg High School Football program and still holds one of the all-time school athletic records. Family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Miamisburg Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will begin 10:00 am Monday, November 24, 2014 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg officiated by Pastor John Swint. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
