Bertha Downing, 85, of Miamisburg, passed away on Thursday September 20, 2018 in Laurelwood Senior Living. She was born January 25, 1933 in Hinkle, Kentucky, the daughter of James A. and Millie (Warren) Hinkle. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth Downing; daughter Roberta Lynn Ahrens; brothers Will C. Hinkle and Belve P. Hinkle; sisters Cleda Riley and Allie Littrell; six half-brothers and two half-sisters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 – 11 am Wednesday September 26, 2018 in the GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the aides at Brookdale of Englewood and Laurelwood Senior Living and also Brookdale Hospice for the excellent care provide to Bertha.
