Rigoberto Carrasco, aged 88, passed away peacefully in his home on January 12, 2024, surrounded by family and close friends. He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Catalina Carrasco, with whom he shared 40 years. They created a blended family consisting of Liana Frances (from his previous marriage), Maite, Diana, and Adriana. Rigoberto was a loving grandfather to Michael and Kevin and a dedicated father figure to his special granddaughter Ashley. And he was also blessed to meet his great grandchildren. His twin brother, Roberto, also survives him, and their special bond and memories will never be forgotten.
Rigoberto was born on May 29, 1935, in Havana, Cuba and was raised in an orphanage with his twin brother, Roberto. They supported each other throughout their entire lifetime and had a strong bond. Rigoberto joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged after serving the country that he loved so much.
He accepted the Lord as his Savior in August 1987, which marked the beginning of his love for the Lord and dedication to sharing the word and spreading the love of God. He served as a deacon at his church and was a certified chaplain, providing emotional support during his time at American Airlines. Rigoberto's love for everyone knew no bounds. He was known for giving warm hugs, providing words of love and encouragement, and always willing to help anyone in need. He was a true servant of God, and his life touched many others.
In lieu of flowers, his wish is to send your donations to Calvary Chapel Agape faithful servants of God.
Your donation will be used to support women and children who are victims of abuse and sex trafficking. The vision of Calvary Chapel Agape is to create a community of believers who love, search, and serve God.
