Monique took her role of Grandmere very seriously. She made sure that her Grandchildren connected like brothers and sisters at family engagements and sleepovers. The way she raised her own children she, she instilled the same values in her grandchildren. Family is everything, Monique had a way of bringing everyone together. In good times and in bad.
For Monique, family was always first. No matter what was going on in her own life, Monique always checked in on everyone in her family. It was like clockwork, you knew when to expect a call. And if you didn’t answer, 9 times out of 10 you received a voicemail saying “Appelé Moi”. Monique and Jean built a home where all who entered felt like family. The love shared there was extraordinary. Monique created a place where unconditional love was felt and everyone could call home. Everyone who Monique Villard encountered felt her loving presence. Her love was even felt in her cooking, Monique was the most incredible cook and everything she prepared was made with love especially her world famous Diri kole (rice and beans).
We are especially thankful to the angels from our family sent to us to support us in all the right places and at all the right times in Monique's transition to heaven.
Monique was a woman of true faith. She had an unconditional trust in God and the Blessed Mother. She held onto her cross until the very end.
A plus Tard, Grandmere ♡
