Maria always had a smile on her face and always acted like the professional she was. I loved her positive attitude and compassion. Rest In Peace and my sympathy to her loved ones.

Dear Maria,

You were a light that always shined brightly in this world. You showed us every day the importance of kindness and generosity, of gratitude and hope, faith, and empathy.  I will miss you terribly. You were always there for everyone in my family when we needed you most.  I will miss your smile, your laughter, your cooking, and your love. Over the years and the miles, we always kept in touch.   Even my kids in their short visits with you grew to know how special you were.  I will always think of you as a bright start shining down on me when I look up into the night sky. I will always think of you as I cook a meal for the people I love.

Maria was my dear and loved friend.  We met at Kendall Hospital when I started working nights as a nursing assistant.  I had the privilege of working with a great nurse, and leader with so much love for her job.  She was one of the most compassionate, caring and giving people. She joined the family on our trip to South Carolina to my daughters graduation.  We tour so many places going there and on our way back.  She loved antics, and we stopped in several of them.  She even had Henry take her to Ft. Myers to buy and antic dining room. She had my husband wrapped around her finger because being the great cook that she was she made some great meals for him.
Maria love nature, especially the fall.  She was very positive, and loved her quiet moments. She shared scriptures and we has many talks about God.  
Maria, my dear friend, I will miss you.  I will treasure all our special times together.  We Love Sonia & Daviv

I met Maria during my tenure at KRMC. She was a great nurse, very emphatic and caring, but more so she was a great friend to me. I remember attending her wedding , going to dinner parties, attending high tea etc. She paid attention to detail and was a very artistic and talented individual. She always let you know how much she cared for you and loved you. My last time was seeing both Rafael and herself enjoying themself at my seventieth birthday party. Maria was a daughter of the King- our Lord God Almighty. She trusted him throughout her illness. She never complained . One of her favorite pass time was to share verses of scripture . One of those scripture verses she shared quite recently was”I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing. “  Indeed you are resting with the Lord Maria. To Rafael and all the other sorrowing relatives we offer our heart felt condolences.

I met Maria when I first started as a new nurse at Kendall Regional. She ran the front desk every weekend/nights. She was my go to lady. She made being a new nursing grad easy. I knew everything  would be ok because she was on duty. Our friendship continued and she became like family. She would send inspiring messages through whats app. She always had a smile on her face, even when she was dealing with so many health issues. Rafa you were there by her side at her many appointments and hospitalizations. I know this was very comforting for her. Maria you will be missed. I will miss jokingly saying  to her "do you know who I am?' So many great memories. You fought a good fight and will truly be missed. Love, prayers and peace to all the family members during this difficult time.
