Maria Esther Martinez

She was born in Santa Cruz del Sur, Cuba in 1908, one of 7 children. She is smiling down on her family and friends being reunited with her beloved sisters Chea Hernandez, Mirtila Martinez-Tapia, and her brothers Antonio, Miguelangel, Marcelino and Mario Martinez-Tapia, and her parents Adela Tapia and Antonio Martinez, as well as her recently deceased nephew and godson, Miguelangel Martinez.

Our dear sweet aunt came to the US in 1972 with her sister Mirtila, who was always by her side, along with her older brother Miguelangel, and her mother Adela.

Maruca helped raise her siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was always with a smile on her face and had a kind word., and she was always fascinated by technology. Imagine all the things she has seen since 1908.

She is survived by her niece Georgina Hagel and great-niece Josette Hagel with whom she lived, and her nephew Mario Martinez, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
