Luis Enrique Alpiste was born on September 13, 1940 to Rosa Bazalar Alpiste and Juan Niceforo Alpiste in Huacho, Peru. He joined his loved ones in eternal rest on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jenny, his children Johnny, Dianne, Erika and Jennifer, his son-in-law Christopher, and his grandchildren Liam and Ellie. A middle child true to the title, he is remembered by many of his siblings as being a great mediator among them. Luis was a family man, to him they were everything and second to none. He was very proud of his family, of their accomplishments and of their colossal size. He found joy in his siblings (18 total, 15 surviving past infancy) and in all of his nieces and nephews, and their kids. He thrived on the loudness that came from gatherings of such a big family and if he could have had it his way, they would have all lived together on the same block. For most of his life, his work was dedicated to the construction of buildings in the Greater Miami Area, which he would proudly show to his kids on their drives through the city. A fan of the greats such as Elton John, The Eagles, and Pink Floyd, his kids often reminisce to being awoken Saturday mornings to smell of bacon and Crocodile Rock playing in the background. He was a legendary man who will be dearly missed. Luis will be laid to rest near his son Cesar, his “Little Samurai”, at Woodlawn North Cemetery. He was loved. He was loved. He was loved.
“Sweet freedom whispered in my ear, You’re a butterfly, And butterflies are free to fly, Fly away, high away, bye bye.”
- Elton John
