Joyce Whyte information for Jesus.
Joyce Whyte was born on November 30, 1936, to parents of Rosanna Whyte, housewife, and Percival Whyte, Salesman. They were both Christians and attended the Maranatha Christian Church in Jamaica. Joyce Whyte was an individual who was self-motivated. From an elementary age she was competitive. One piece of her Elementary school work was left on display for several months downtown Kingston, Jamaica.
All, on her own, she obtained a scholarship to attend the Kingston Technical High School, where she obtained free tuition and all expenses paid in full, with a check given to her each month.
After high school, she became a Legal Assistant, and later a Teacher in Jamaica for approximately 5 years.
In 1980, she migrated to New York, then to Miami, Florida, USA. In her pursuit for higher education, she earned her first B.Sc. degree in Business Education. Her second degree was a M. Sc. degree in Business and her 3rd degree was an Educational Specialist Degree in Leadership. With 2 more years of study, she would have earned her doctoral degree which she regretted.
THE BEST part of her life was when she taught at Homestead Senior High and Mays Middle School, where she held the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Club. There was not a single year in which students did not earn a district or state award. These were the most rewarding and outstanding days of her life.
Sadness came to her on the 10th of Oct. 2010, when she tripped over a computer cord and broke her left arm in 3 places. She received therapy for over 2 years, and she later retired from the Miami Dade County Public Schools.
In 2016, she was involved in an accident where she lost her sister Esmin and was in the hospital for a long time. Her health went downhill from that time as she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and stage 4 cancer. This led to her peaceful demise on August 23, 2023.
I will miss you my sister, Enid, my good nieces, Hope, Julia, Janet, and Janelle. My good nephews, Winston, Jaime, Warren, Myles, Alex, and Adam. My good friends and relatives.
I adore my family very much and appreciate Winston, Janet, and Enid in particular.
I know that I am loved and missed by all, but I will enjoy being with my other relatives in heaven.
