He was born in Miami Beach, Florida, to the late Walter (Papa Doc) and Norma Waxman on November 2nd, 1945. Jeffrey lived in West Miami, excelled in all athletic endeavors and graduated from Southwest Senior High School in 1963, the University of Miami, and was awarded a Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa. He served as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army in New Jersey and Korea during the Vietnam War. Jeffrey practiced law in Miami for 43 years until his retirement in 2014. He enjoyed deep and backwater fishing, lobster diving, golf, and Thoroughbred horse racing.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife Edna Bass Waxman (with whom he traveled the world); his children, Adam Joseph Waxman, and Heather Jacquelyn Waxman; his brother Michael (Lorie) Waxman and many other family members and wonderful friends.
Services will be held on April 19th, 2022 at Lakeside Memorial Park (Mount Ararat Gardens) 10301 NW 25th Street Miami, Florida 33172. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in his name. Shiva will not be held due to COVID-19.
