Cynthia Sakalo, age 76, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away on October 4, 2024 due to complications from advanced-stage dementia. Cindy was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 17, 1947 and graduated from Tilden High School. In 1966, Cindy married Martin Sakalo, to whom she remained married until he passed away in 2006.
Cindy spent 20 years working with National Financial Systems, Inc. while living on Long Island and 17 years with the the Volusia County Government after re-locating to Florida. Cindy was an avid bowler, card and mahjongg player, follower of soap operas, and loved all animals.
Cindy is survived by her children, Scott Sakalo and Jay (and Staci) Sakalo, and her grandchildren, Brandon, Shelby, Maddie and Emmy.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in Cindy's memory to the Humane Society of America at www.humanesociety.org.
A memorial services for Cynthia will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
