Alicia D. Diaz

Alicia Diaz, age 102, was born in Quemado de Güines, Las Villas, Cuba and passed away on Monday, January 9th, 2023 in Miami, Florida. We are blessed to have enjoyed a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend for so many years. Alicia was always well dressed with the brightest smile in the world, an immense desire to enjoy life and unmeasurable love for all her family and friends. The happiness, the dances, her kitchen, profound wisdom and the example she leaves to follow will always be remembered and honored.

She is survived by her beloved siblings, Rafael and Gladis, adored daughter Olga, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many, many friends.

Alicia Diaz, 102 años, nació en Quemado de Güines, Las Villa Cuba y falleció el lunes, 9 de enero de 2023 en Miami, Florida.

Es una bendición gozar de una madre, hermana, tía, abuela, bisabuela y amiga ejemplar por tantos años. Alicia siempre bien vestida con una sonrisa que alumbra el mundo, ganas inmensas de vivir la vida a plenitud, amor sin medidas para su familia y amistades. La alegría, los bailes, la cocina de Alicia, la profunda sabiduría y el ejemplo que nos deja se seguirá y será siempre recordado.

Ella es sobrevivida por sus amados hermanos Rafael y Gladis, su adorada hija Olga, sobrinos, sobrinas, nietos, bisnietos y muchísimos amigos.

A visitation for Alicia will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to Midnight at Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33135. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St Michael Catholic Church, 2987 West Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33125. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Dade North, 1301 NW Opa Locka Blvd, Miami, FL 33167.
