Tyrone Jones Sr., affectionately called “Tee”, departed this life surrounded by family on November 24th, 2022, at the age of 78 in New Orleans, LA.

He was born January 31st, 1944, in Donaldsonville, Louisiana to the late Dorothy Jones Berzat and Ambrose Berzat Sr.

Tyrone accepted Christ at an early age and attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church under the leadership of Pastor Benjamin Goth.

He found love and married Dolores Feast; to this union were born four children.

After graduating from Lowery High School Tyrone attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. Ultimately, he decided to leave college and enter the workforce. He eventually took a position at United States Steel, where he worked for 40+ years until he retired.

Tyrone loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and cooking; his family will attest to the fact that he made the best gumbo in the world!

He leaves to cherish his memory, four children: Tyrone T. Jones Jr. (Denique), Darrell T. Jones (Nina), Derrick T. Jones, and Uhura T. Jones, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Ratcliff (Rodney); sisters-in-law, Jannie F. Coleman and Yolanda F. Holmes; brothers-in-law, Bud Fogan, Jr., Albert Feast Jr., Gregory Feast (Tracy) and Jeffery Feast; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Greeting him in heaven: his wife Delores Jones; his parents Dorothy Jones Berzat and Ambrose Berzat Sr.; his brother Ambrose Berzat Jr.; and two sisters Peggy Fogan and Jo Ann Simien.
