Ora Lee Fos Gueldner, age 85, passed away in her home on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Mrs. Gueldner was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late Luther O. Gueldner. Mother of Ronald L. Gueldner and Gary C. Gueldner (wife, Patricia). Grandmother of Blake Rebaldo (fianceé, Amanda Hughes) and Hayley Gueldner. Sister of Sharon H. Fos, Richard S. Fos (wife, Isbelle), Jules A. Fos and the late Bertrand J. Fos, John L. Fos and Elodie F. Flores. Daughter of the late Jules Fos and Hilda Stephens Fos. Also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Gueldner’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Stacey, Roy and Caitlin Duplantier, Marla Burke, Mary Jo Sarkas, Roni and Debbie Sumich, Laurel and Charlie Coleman of Winchester, VA for their wonderful care and compassion. Ora Lee was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church. She was always kind and always thought of others. She was an excellent caregiver and homemaker. Ora Lee once experienced a moment in the spotlight among Hollywood Stars as a very visible extra in the opening scene of the 1951 film “A Streetcar Named Desire”. Ora Lee was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 4201 Transcontinental Drive in Metairie, LA on Saturday, November 14, 2015 beginning at 10:30 AM with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM.
