Mr. Nicholas James Tranchina

Nicholas James Tranchina went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Mr. Tranchina was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved husband of the late Lucille Tranchina by first marriage and the late Lena Tranchina by second marriage. Father of Margie T. Mauterer (Raymond) and Robert J. Tranchina, Sr. (JoAnn). Stepfather of Josie Lobello. Grandfather of Debra Soldani (the late Toddy), Lori Aguilar (the late Giovanni), Raymond Mauterer, Jr. (Erin), Ann Lobello, Mary Lynn Lobello, Donna Tranchina Bennett, Robert J. Tranchina, Jr. and Nicholas J. Tranchina (Kelly). Son of the late Benjamin and Catherine Tranchina. Also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Mr. Tranchina was a former member of the New Orleans Athletic Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday, February 23, 2012 beginning at 4:00 PM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 7:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
