She was a native of Philadelphia, MS and longtime resident of Pascagoula, MS and later Destrehan, LA.
Mildred loved to witness for her savior the Lord Jesus Christ, play the organ and write songs.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Goldman (Connie) of Hurley, MS and Larry Goldman (Oksana) of Tucson, AZ; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Clyde Sullivan (Virginia) of Bossier City, LA; sister, Maureen Byram Madison of Spanish Fort, AL; several nieces, nephews and their families.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Whitfield; her parents, Mark and Lena Sullivan and brothers, Tommy Sullivan and Jesse Sullivan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday afternoon, March 16, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at McClain-Hays Funeral Home, 1002 East Main St. in Philadelphia, MS beginning at 12:00 noon with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
